|—YouTube Community Description|
|Community Type||App Community|
|Related Communities||YouTube Nintendo Channel|
YouTube Community was one of the most popular communities on Miiverse. Users in this community mainly consist of artists and Miiverse daters. Posts are often buried after about 3 minutes because of how active the community is. If you take a look at the Popular Posts page, you'll see tons of drawings of anime characters. Original Characters are also a common trend; these are usually based on Sonic the Hedgehog and anime (And those are just some of the common ones). The community is known for producing what is probably the biggest amount of art in all of Miiverse. Until the YTC update of 10/14/15, you can still find Japanese and European users post in this community.
YouTube Nintendo Channel CommunityThe YouTube Nintendo Channel Community is a sub-community used for Nintendo's YouTube channel, it was first opened on 10/14/2015. Unlike the main community, normal users are not able to post here. The only user who is able to post in the Nintendo Channel Community is a verfied user named Skye (NNID: NintendoSkye) who posts exclusively to this community. Skye usually posts YouTube videos from Nintendo's YouTube channel along with news.
Pre-Separation Period (November 29th, 2013-October 14th, 2015)
The YouTube Community has always been full of anime and manga fans, but it has been much more common until the split. During the early years of Miiverse, in late 2012 and early 2013, a lot of art was based around the popular horror game Slenderman. The community itself was a worldwide community, for Japanese Miiverse users are most present. Role-playing used to be very common, and is also home to fans of Smosh, PewDiePie, and Markiplier. The community was the main source of trolling in Miiverse before the Super Smash Bros. Community was created. Like anywhere else, fanbases may not get along and small arguments may ensue. The community was also home to many fans of many different things other than anime and manga; such as Homestuck, Doctor Who, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Five Nights at Freddy's, Sonic, Minecraft, My Little Pony, Vocaloid, Touhou, Star Trek or YouTubers like Markiplier, PeanutButterGamer, The Game Theorists, Smosh, Jackseptickeye and PewDiePie.
The community has been in a heated relationship with the Smashers ever since the Miiverse Prom in February 2015. Some Smashers even go on the YTC just to troll it. Most people here don't like Smashers who are off-topic from the game, and many popular YTC artists come to mock them (and vice versa), with the exception of Gio, perhaps the most popular artist in the community. However, there are actually some users from either one of these communities whom are allied/friends with users from the others, and some Smashers even question any prejudice and hatred against YTC.
Redesign Period (July 29th, 2015-October 14th, 2015)
After the redesign, YouTube still remains fairly active but less popular. RPing in the community doesn't happen as much due to the posting limit. Some YouTubers moved with the Smashers to the Legend of Zelda community because it was the only community not affected by the redesign. Then, some of the YouTubers moved with the Smashers to the New Super Luigi U (NSLU) community. Some Smashers are against.
The Youtube Community Split Up (October 14th, 2015)
On October 14, 2015, the YTCers are panicking over a secret update. In this new update, the Youtube Community became separated into three communities, one for each region, much like the Wii Sports Club communities. The page of the old YTC could not be found, but posts have not been deleted yet.
Some Smashers rejoiced at the fact that the YTC ceased to exist.
The European and Japanese YTC does not allow comments and removed the Discussions section. This was because of the off-topic discussions in YTC.
The American YTC has a Special Community where a verified user called Skye posts Nintendo Youtube videos.
Post-Separation Period (October 14th, 2015 - Present)
After the split, Japanese and European YTCers ceased to exist, from the disabling of comments and discussions. Some of them moved to the American community. It is unknown if the restrictions will happen on the American community as well. the Youtubers that inhabited the community are currently residing all over Miiverse, primarily the Zelda community and the New Super Luigi U Community.
