The Fire Emblem: Fates Community (also known as Fire Emblem If in Japan) is a community for the new Fire Emblem games. The games consists of three games: Birthright, Conquest, and the downloadable Revelation, similar to the main series Pokemon games. The community has been famous ever since the announcement of same-sex marriage was announced. The community was opened on 6/24/15 in Japan, which has then consisted of mostly Fire Emblem Amie posts and NSFW, 2/19/16 in North America, and 5/20/16 in European countries and Australia.
Posts in the community range from a minute apart, making it active. In the Play Journal section, people post about the various characters in the game and events that took place in the game. The Drawing Section is filled with drawings of Fire Emblem characters. The Discussion section has people talking about the game in general.
A few days before the games was released in Japan, there was some news about the game that sparked controversy. In the Japanese version, you could make every unit strip down to their underwear (in other words, they could not become fully naked). You could also pet your units in a small mini-game. A few months later in 2016, it was revealed that the petting game was taken out in the western versions, which also led to more controversy. This split all Nintendo gamers as to whether it was "nothing of loss" or censorship. A few days later, it turned out that the cutscenes for the petting game wasn't taken out, but you couldn't use the stylus to touch them.
