Activity Feed Updates
In the beginning, the Activity Feed was just used for looking at the posts of your friends and followed users, and maybe yeahing them. But Nintendo has released a wealth of Activity Feed updates over the years; many of which have been criticized for being pointless, while others have been awaited improvements.
September 11, 2013
Miiverse users can now post in their Activity Feed, and will show up in others users' Activity Feeds and on their profile.
June 4th, 2014
Yeahs that your friends and followers have given now show up in your Activity Feed.
June 25th, 2014
The amount of Yeahs in the Activity Feed has been reduced, and the entire Yeahed post will be shown, not just a few words. Additionally, there's now an option for users to disable Yeahs from appearing in the Activity Feed.

The search bar for users is moved to the Activity Feed in the web version of Miiverse, and Nintendo's Marty states they'll move it to the Activity Feed on other versions soon.
October 12th, 2014
Users can now filter the posts in their Activity Feed to be just from friends instead of friends and followed users. In addition, the search bar for Miiverse users has been moved to the Activity Feed on all versions of Miiverse.
February 19th, 2015
Users followed by your other followed users will be shown, along with their favorite post and a link to their profile.
May 20th, 2015
Only the first post from each user will be displayed as you're scrolling through the Activity Feed, which reduces loading time.
On July 29, 2015, the redesign made it so users couldn't post in the Activity Feed. This made users angry and caused some to leave Miiverse.
